Home of the original Scrolled Turk. Jeri is a part-time woodworker and full-time fiber enthusiast. She is best known for creating Turkish drop spindles with cutouts, her original design concept. There are no CNC machines, laser cutters, or duplicating jigs in her shop. All patterns are hand-drawn and individually hand-cut using a scroll saw. We’re all about the tools of the trade at Jeri Brock Woodworks, and everything is handmade. Schleicher Rambouillet Fiber and Lamb (“SchRam”) is owned by a 5th-generation rancher in West Texas, dating back to 1865 with cattle and the early 1900s with Rambouillet sheep. With more than 60 years of genetic improvements, the Rambouillet flock produces fine wool, next-to-skin fibers with an average fiber diameter of 18 and 19 microns, 3.5″–4.5″ staple length, 50% yield, high crimp, low vegetable matter (VM), and 98+% comfort factor. All livestock are grass-fed, no antibiotics, no hormones, and no pesticides, raised in a large, open pasture with minimum handling to reduce animal stress. Rambouillet fiber offerings at the booth will be raw fleeces, scoured fibers, carded roving, combed top, and woolen and worsted yarns. In addition, lamb pelts, rug yarns, and various products made with these items will be available. As a bonus, the booth will have Merino and Mohair raw fleeces and partially processed fibers and yarn available.
