Volunteers Needed for 2011 event!

Would you like to volunteer at DFW Fiber Fest?  We need up to 6 people throughout the day, each day including Thursday 4/7 to help man the doors, registration, raffle sales, and swag sales.

Benefits include free admission to the vendor hall for the day, plus one raffle ticket (per shift worked) for a special volunteer only raffle to be drawn on Sunday.

If you’re interested, please email our volunteer co-ordinator (and extraordinary local teacher) Lise at volunteers@dfwfiberfest.org to arrange a shift.  Or two. :-)

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers again this year.  Volunteers are integral to the smooth running of DFW Fiber Fest and are a great way to become involved.  Below is the schedule of time slots, the list of tasks we need help with, and how many per time slot. We are offering the following incentives for volunteers this year: 1. A free day pass to the vendor hall for the day you volunteer  AND 2. A chance at winning a volunteer only raffle.  One ticket per time slot worked. One Week to Go!

This time next week, DFW Fiber Fest 2009 will be in full swing!

We’re getting very excited about next week. We’ve spent the last week putting together the student and vendor packets, sorting yarn for sale (mmmm…..yummy, squishy), and making sure our teachers have everything they need.

All students whose registration was received as of yesterday have had their homework and supplies list sent to them. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still a couple of days left yet to get your check in. We’ll take walk-in registrations too for classes that aren’t full.

There are still a couple of Volunteer slots open. Volunteering is a great way to be involved and meet a ton of fellow fiber enthusiasts. Check out the Volunteer link to the right for more information.

Also, a reminder that our charity collection this year is Chemo Caps. We’ll collect them all weekend long. A great resource for patterns is Head Huggers.
